Course meets the annual refresher course guidelines issued by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and the course is “highly recommended” by the HSE, that all first aiders should undertake this course annually.
This 3-hour online course is designed to refresh the first aiders knowledge on life-threatening conditions, such as safety at scene, resuscitation, recovery position, choking, life-threatening bleeding etc
However, is not a statutory course and does not meet the Health & Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. To meet the regulations the person would have to undertake the Emergency First Aid at Work Course (6 hours contact teaching), or the First Aid at Work Course (6 hours contact teaching and 12 hours online).
